Welding 630mm main
Project Duration: 16 days
B&M Solutions Ltd. were contracted to weld and install a 2000m 630mm ring main. All pipe work was welded using Trackstar Butt Fusion equipment as shown in the photo (right).
The pipe work was surface laid and a 1m flight auger was used to install 7 knock out pots along the 2 kilometre line. In addition to the knock out pots 8 x 630mm Tee’s were installed, these were fabricated and supplied by our workshops in Bethesda.
This project was significant in terms of the large diameter and quantity of welded and installed within a restrictive time scale.
