B&M designed as installed a complete leachate recirculation system. The system was based upon the supply and installation of 2 x 20,000 litre HDPE leachate recirculation tanks with valved outlets spaced radially and connected to spokes of perforated HDPE pipework installed to drainage grips. The pipe work was surrounded by a non calcareous gravel and wrapped in geotextile. In order to encourage reintroduction of the leachate to the waste 6m deep pin wells were driven through the drainage grip, lined with perforated 63mm pipe and backfilled with more stone.
